100+ People Who Care Donates $1,150 to Leadership Monongalia
MORGANTOWN – In a display of community support, 100+ People Who Care donated $1,150 to Leadership Mon. This generous contribution will be used to fund scholarships, enabling more individuals to participate in Leadership Mon’s valuable programs.
Leadership Mon, a program of the Morgantown Area Partnership dedicated to fostering community leadership in Monongalia County, will use these funds to provide opportunities for aspiring leaders who may not otherwise have the means to participate in their comprehensive eight-month program.
“We are deeply grateful for the support of 100+ People Who Care,” said Michelle Hopkins, Co-Director of Leadership Mon. “Their donation will directly impact our ability to nurture future leaders in Monongalia County, regardless of their financial circumstances. This support aligns perfectly with our mission to identify, develop and sustain community leaders.”
100+ People Who Care is a giving circle that brings together individuals committed to making a difference in their local community. Their model of collective giving has proven to be a powerful force for positive change. This group convenes quarterly across Monongalia County where members nominate local organizations making a difference and worthy of philanthropic support. The members donate directly to the chosen charity(s) to help further their great work supporting friends and neighbors across the local community. The group has raised nearly $100,000 for local charities since its formation in 2019.
“This donation underscores the importance of community-driven philanthropy and its potential to create meaningful impact,” said David Goldberg 100+ People Who Care’s Founding Member. “This quarter our members are pleased to support CASA and Leadership Mon equally. We are excited for Leadership Mon to use these funds to continue their mission of developing strong, capable leaders for Monongalia County and West Virginia as a whole and keep moving West Virginia forward.”
