Improving Regional Connectivity.

The Transportation Committee advocates for better roads, transit and accessibility in Morgantown.

The Morgantown Area Partnership

What we do.

The Transportation Committee advocates for strategic improvements to Morgantown’s transportation infrastructure including roads, highways, public transit and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure. Our efforts ensure businesses remain connected to supply chains, workforce and customers while making Morgantown more accessible for everyone who lives and works here.

Working Together.

We promote broad sector collaboration in transportation projects where economic development and quality of life are critical factors. We actively work with local government and partners in transportation to advance critical projects, enhance coordination and support efforts to secure infrastructure funding. Together we provide a voice to business and education in matters of regional connectivity and transportation decisions that affect day to day travel.

We work with Morgantown Monongalia Metropolitan Planning Organization (MMMPO) providing business connectivity in a business advisory role. We advise on projects like the Exit 155 Redesign and Harmony Grove exit and bridge to Morgantown Industrial Park. For more information visit MMMPO.

We work closely with Morgantown Municipal Airport to advise on developments such as Runway Extension, I-68 Commerce Park, and Essential Air Service Selection bringing jet service to Morgantown. For more information visit Morgantown Municipal Airport.

We collaborate with Mountain Line Transit Authority (MLTA) to improve public transportation throughout Morgantown. By advocating for improved connectivity and strategic expansions, we help ensure public transit evolves to meet our region’s growing needs. For more information visit MTLA .

WV Department of Highways (DOH) is an active participant in our Transportation work. We enhance coordination between DOH and local partners in transportation. For more information visit DOH.

We work closely with Mon River Trails Conservancy (MRTC) to enhance the rail-trail, a vital connector linking neighborhoods, businesses and recreational areas. The rail-trail enhances connectivity, tourism and local commerce throughout the region. For more information visit MRTC.
