Morgantown Area Partnership and Surrounding Chambers to Host North Central West Virginia Business Summit, ”Bridges Without Boundaries”

MORGANTOWN, W.Va., October 22, 2020 — Bridges Without Boundaries is a regional business summit that focuses on the future of North Central West Virginia and includes a presentation on the region’s Economic Outlook from WVU’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research Director John Deskins and David H. McKinley, President and Chief Investment Officer of McKinley Carter Wealth Services. The summit will be held virtually on Thursday, October 29 starting at 8:30 a.m.

The event will open with a small business panel on surviving the pandemic, with panelists Ray Glymph, Owner of Get Fit Juices & Shakes, Lotus McDowell, Owner of Artworks and Jamison Johnson, Manager of Screech Owl Brewing. Additional speakers during Deskins’ Economic Outlook presentation include Greg Corio and Dr. Danny Twilley of the newly appointed Brad and Alys Smith Outdoor Economic Development Collaborative (OEDC). Healthcare leaders David Goldberg of Mon Health and Dr. Judie Charlton of WVU Medicine will each provide updates on their organizations including expansion efforts and the impact of COVID-19.  The event concludes with speaker presentations from both of West Virginia’s Gubernatorial Candidates, Republican incumbent Jim Justice and Democratic nominee Ben Salango.

Bridges Without Boundaries is hosted by the Morgantown Area Partnership and the Preston County, Harrison County and Marion County Chambers of Commerce.
