Partnership Reschedules Annual Dinner to April

After careful consideration, the Partnership Board of Directors has decided to postpone our signature Annual Dinner from January 27 to April 12, 2022 due to the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases.  For additional details please see the statement provided below.

The Morgantown Area Partnership announced it has moved their Annual Dinner from January 27 to April 12, 2022 due to concerns related to COVID-19 and the safety of dinner attendees.  “We made this difficult decision to move our Annual Awards Dinner to April out of respect for the many healthcare heroes that are currently helping to treat COVID-19 patients,” said Mark Imbrogno, Chairman of the Partnership.  “We hope that the current vaccination numbers and the reduction of spread will allow us to hold the event in April.”  The main theme of this year’s Awards is to honor the healthcare workers on the front line of treatment for West Virginians impacted by COVID-19.  As the current infection rate is expected to peak over the next few weeks, our hospitals and healthcare professionals face overwhelm.  “The Annual Awards Dinner is an indoor event that has over 650 in attendance,” said Imbrogno.  “Given the contagious nature of the now dominant Omicron variant, the safety and wellbeing of our attendees is of utmost importance.”  The Partnership hopes that our members, sponsors, and guests understand our need to move the date to April.  “We look forward to a true celebration of our award winners on April 12th at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place,” Imbrogno said.We plan to celebrate safely with our membership and community as we toast the best in business and salute our frontline healthcare workers on April 12th at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place.  Please watch for further details to come or visit our website www.morgantownpartnership.com/annual-dinner.
